So the boy (Alif) got knock out. Alif’s family may have an anxious moment here; but Alif woke up just in time before Karim Afghan about to do CPR on him! –LOL-. Story on Alif’s, just clicks here!
Wah, different weight class man... also Alif made a terrible mistake when feinting and let his guard down.
I read on another blog that the original scheduled fighter pulled out so kudos to him for having the courage to face up a bigger and stronger opponent.

I guess next will be Barbord versus Chaowalit. But i guess "experienced" things might be difficult cause ya all know how many pro fights Chaowalit had.but, this Barbord dude sure can fight cause based on his skills he do have martial arts experian.Just my personal thought that it will be a good match to watch.
Ok, ok...I know you people want a fair fight. Same class. That was what supposes to happen when the original card was drawn. But no organizer will guarantee that it will be 100% as in the card.
1)There are always last minute pull out… and guess what the most frequent excuse we received? .. Minor motorbike accident... we got that all the time. Right Mr.Sanusi? Jatuh moto!
2) The other end promoter plays stupid. Mr.Zahari: can you bring a 60 kg fighter? The other end: Cannn … no pLoblem... we have many 60 kg, you want world champion?? Well you will end up looking at a 70 or 50 kg guy when they turn up!! And thank God they bring a male fighter, what if they bring lady??
The dual are base on weight, fight experience & size will be agreed upon next.
For me, you can fight anybody you want to as long both party agree. It won’t look good but if they come in well prepared (not a last minute arrangement); it will be an exciting match to watch… as nobody will give excuse when they lost. Most of you have seen smaller opponent come out winner before right?
i don think barbod can fight chaowarit for now.chaowarit is former lumpinee rank1.but its good to see the fight too since i also as a penonton like to see how he face stronger opponent. Not just some big bully like lori vs proton saga.
Sofya, Ya, memang betul kalau kedua pihak tu setuju lawan. Tapi Alif tahu tak dia lawan siapa?saya berani cakap pada masa itu dia pun tak tahu dia lawan dengan orang yang macam mr.malaysia tu. sebenarnya berapa kg Mr.Barbod tu?
Boxxtomoi, i understand what u mean. and u r kinda funny. by the way. why there is no under12 fight recently?
when you are small you make your opponent look very much bigger, when you are weak you make him look strong ! The question, is he really bigger and better or you just smaller and weaker.

cinderellaGONEwild Takda kena-mengena dgn agama. Cuma kalau si Nakmuay (boxer) tu Buddha, nam masuk ring baca doa Buddha. Kalau Islam, baca doa makan :)
Sofya/Opie/Pn.Sofia P/S: klu oji jadi dtg mlm nie, sye pn nk join lah..hehe..
Barbod Its all just specatator's speculations. Most Nakmuay (and women) knows size does not matter. That's why I like Bedu so much. But I think, naturally, the fear will always be there. Only much lesser when you know Muay Thai :)
BTW, what martial arts you trained before MT? It seem your fighting style have MMA/Kickboxing background. You are one of few I didn't get to interview in Kelantan :)
Hai anis, you have a new pimple and your blog is just like your prince charming! .. wish your fairytale world a happily ever after ending in the real world!
The match was great... But I would like to say that, all those who are saying Barbod is bigger than Alif are a bit in mistake...
Barbod might be taller than him but not heavier and bigger than him...
the reason is if u have noticed the fighters were far from the person who was taking the video and the point is Barbod was much more NEAR... Therefore he has been shown bigger than his opponent...
and the second point is as all of you know, the size is not the matter, if you have a good and enough technique, you can be the winner...
No doubt, Alif is a good fighter but his terrible mistake was caused his lost... That kind of mistake was unexpected from the experienced fighter such as him...
This IS not my fav. fight.I only watch it during my editing, as only one of them fighting the muay thai way.
What I can say is: Alif let Barbode corner him. Final hit: I think Alif wanted to execute a kick, abandon it, let his guard down, and kiss the mat.
Ade,you don't call that a terrible mistake but that is actually a suicide ! He was standing there, just standing there, hand down!. Sitting duck! I dunno how much fight experience Alif had, but I think you only count one when you learn about your mistake other wise it for record purposes.
abe Tomoi, betol tu, kita nak tengok perlawanan tomoi yang penuh seni, bukan nak tengok orang fight macam samseng. Saya harap kita kurangkan ambil orang fight yang kurang seni dan lawan tomoi ala tinju, tak best! -----------------------

Finally, TM WMC WORLD MUAY THAI CHALLENGE – THE ROYAL CUP OF KEDAH was successfully held after going through so much hassle. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Tuanku Sultan of Kedah, the office of HRH Tuanku Sultan, the State Government of Kedah, and of course TM, as the main sponsor, Tunku Arif Shazuddin from Seri Libana Sdn Bhd, as the co-sponsor, other sponsors, boxers and my highest appreciation to all muay thai fans and the crew of BOXX EVENT. This event had to endure a lot of obstacles and pain, from 8 men, I decided to change to 4 men and again to superfights only. This scenario should be able to tell how much problem we had to face but Alhamdulillah, with support from all of you out there, we still managed to pull through. In my opinion, the recent muay thai event sponsored by TM is now at the same level with Le Tour De Langkawi, Monsoon Cup etc….the reason why I am saying this is because it is not easy for TM to become a main sponsor, I have been trying to secure sponsorship from TM for more than a year. They will only sponsor a good event and thank god again they agreed to sponsor a MUAY THAI event….that means this event is GOOD . I just couldn’t believe it at first, when other corporate companies shut their door to muay thai, the number one and the biggest telco company in Malaysia which is Telekom Malaysia Berhad agreed to sponsor. I hope this will trigger attention from other corporate companies for future events. The event which was attended by the Tunku Temenggong of Kedah, Dato’ Seri Tunku Sallehuddin Ibni Sultan Badlishah was also attended by the new Chief Minister, State Excos, departmental head and of course from TM, Dato’ Adnan Rofiee beside the state GM Puan Pauziah Taib and other TM senior officials. If some people out there think Muay Thai is a violent sports and only suitable for the villagers, I think they really have to take back their words. The presence of the royal family members and state leadership should ring a bell. We have proven, muay thai followers and supporters come from all level of people. There will be more exciting shows which I will bring out from the store for all of u, I should have not less than 2 events for local boxers, 2 events for world title fight and 4 international and world class event through out 2008. This time, the venue would be in Kedah, KL, Jakarta and Brunei. I m also trying to organize one in JB (yeoh, pls help me out in organizing one in jb ok). Well, it is now almost 1 am…4/4/08, I m feeling a bit sleepy. I need to sleep early and get back to my normal life. I hereby would like to take this opportunity to thank all of u, including of Khairul from UM, who travel all the way from KL, TM of course, Rudy .. also from TM, some muay thai fans…who travel all the way from Johore, Singapore, Thailand, KL, Penang, Perak, Terengganu and Kelantan (thank you so much), visitors of this blog, the boxers and of course the crew members who struggled in order to ensure the success of this event. Thank you again. MUAY THAI UNITE
THE BEST MUAY-THAI EVENT IN MALAYSIA
MUAY THAI DILEMMA IN MALAYSIA
People in Malaysia think Muay Thai is violent and create violent society. People in Malaysia think Muay Thai should not be practiced in Malaysia because they come from Thailand (I wonder where does golf come from but it is played here). Sponsors think Muay Thai fans have no buying power because this sport is only watched by the villagers. Sponsors think Muay Thai fans only available in Thailand. Sponsors think Muay Thai only attract “low class” people … but one thing for sure, whoever thinks that way, obviously they have never been to a Muay Thai tournament, they judge Muay Thai only from one angle and that is from NEGATIVE angle point of view. This year, I had the opportunity to go to three events. The first one was a national level martial art competition held in Kulim. They rented a BIG hall as the venue. And guess what, the number of spectators were around 200 people….and one thing I must tell you, the entrance is free (obviously because the participants are amature, so the organizer don’t have to pay any cash prize money and also…THEY HAVE BIG SPONSORSHIP).The second one was another finale of another martial competition, despite big budget allocated and presence of the minister … the number of contestant outnumbered the audience. The third one was only last weekend. It was a promotion held in Kulim by a GIANT telco company. When I arrived at the venue, they had about 5 small canopies and 1 BIG canopy with a estimated number of 50 staffs. The best thing was, only four people or I would rather say four potential customers at the venue and one of them was me.I asked one of the staffs, “How much do u spend for this promotion event?” and he replied around 5 – 6 thousand Malaysia Ringgit. And I said to him that I can guarantee a minimum number of 1,000 people will come and visit their promotion with that amount of budget. He smiled and asked me how am I going to do that. Well, I said to him its simple….”I just bring in my boxing ring and provide local pro Muay Thai fighters to fight at your promotion venue and its free for public to watch, I can guarantee you, you will need the traffic police to control the traffic flows”. To my surprised, he commented that they might not get the right crowd for their products and services. I asked him again, have u ever watched a Muay Thai fight in Malaysia? He just kept quiet….and again I felt a bit disappointed with the way people judge Muay Thai in Malaysia. Majority don’t realize that Muay Thai fights in Malaysia attract all level of people…just name the kind of people and they are there. School childrens, university students, teachers, engineers, doctors, lawyers, engineers, expatriates, c.e.o.s….just name it. But of course, in order for you to have this large number of crowd, proper marketing and promoting plan must be implemented. And why do Muay Thai fights attract people? Simple because they are real and the fight is full of spectacular action.Daniel Mashamaite, a boxer from South Africa fought four times in Malaysia. During his last fight in Malaysia he said I surely have big sponsorship in my pocket because I organize a lot of tournaments in a year and there are always big crowd watching. He was surprised when I said that for Kedah International Muay Thai Championship the sponsorship amount that I managed to get after begging was not more than 30,000 Malaysia Ringgit when I have more than 4,000 paid crowd and 1,000 free passes (the audience paid 13 ringgit ticket…you don’t have to calculate how much we made, because how much do u think is the cost to organize an international event? ). Just imagine how many people can I attract if the entrance is FREE…but if I were to do that, who is going to pay for the cost of organizing?Sponsors will surely get maximum mileage if they sponsor Muay Thai event, that I can guarantee. Sponsor will not only get return in terms of branding mileage, they can even generate cash sales in return by sponsoring Muay Thai event, that I can also guarantee 100 % (but sorry guys, cant tell you the method…well, I can tell you how but I am afraid I have to kill you after that ) . The problem is, most of the decision maker, turn down our proposal just because he or she doesn’t like Muay Thai (or maybe our proposal is not convincing….hmmm…I will improve on that).A conversation I had with an officer of a State Government owned company….she said they are unable to sponsor Muay Thai event because Muay Thai is not related to their company but she also said “but we can sponsor GOLF” … huh ??? is golf related to a state government company when the company’s activity circling around the development of the state? Well, I guess they sponsor golf because their bosses play golf .. poor you Muay Thai.BOXX is going to operate a Muay Thai centre soon. We are targeting school children to participate and we plan to charge them between 2 – 5 malaysia ringgit a month (in order to cover the operational cost … don’t laugh, ok). I am expecting the majority of the school children who turn up will be the kind of “aggressive children”. The non aggressive might choose piano class instead (maybe these aggressive boys” will go to piano class too…will they?). When these aggressive children turn up for training at .. let say 5 pm .. they will not straight away start punching and kicking. We are gong to organize a 15 minutes informal classes on anti smoking, anti drug, anti crime and all those positive classes. The speakers will come from various related government agencies ( I hope they support this effort). The speakers will sit among these boys and tell them stories about the bad thing about smoking, drug etc… (they will run away if we conduct the class in a formal way, that’s for sure because I would run away too). We might even get an ex drug addict to relate his experience to there boys. These classes will be conducted from time to time. My prediction is, after few years, these boys will still be “aggressive boys” because the aggressiveness is already in them but they will be equipped with knowledge. We hope to instill positive values in these boys through Muay Thai training and all those classes. What I am trying to say is…. YOU CAN USE MUAY THAI AS A TOOL TO CREATE A GOOD CITIZEN…GOOD PEOPLE. Only if you are not negative towards it (because I don’t think the boys will attend just an anti smoking or anti drug classes). No matter what, no matter how big the obstacle is, we … at BOXX EVENT will never surrender. We, with the support from all of you with continue with our struggle to position Muay Thai to where it should be …Last but not least, I would like to thank everybody who has been supporting Muay Thai activities in Malaysia and please continue visiting this blog because it is also a prove that Muay Thai has big fans all around the world.Regards,ZAHARI AHMAD RAZALI

Muay Thai optimizes the use of the eight limbs and is often referred to as the "Science of 8 Limbs". These eight limbs are the two Fists, two Elbows, two Knees and the two Feet(Shins), which are all used to devastating effect in battle. Muay Thai also incorporates the use of the Clinch, which is stand up grappling. From this position Knees, Elbows and Throws are often executed to disable the opponent. Muay Thai is fought in a square ring using the rounds system, which separates the bout. These rounds are usually 5 rounds at 3 minutes each, with a 2 minute break in-between.
MUAY THAI KID
Some people might wonder, why do we let children fight in the ring. Well, to us it is vital to allow them because this will ensure the continuity of Muay Thai and this will also attract other children to take up Muay Thai. Believe me, you can be sure everyone of us are particular about their safety when they fight. Even the doctor on duty and referee is on high alert where these children fight.

in a way, its kinda not fair for alif, but its a very good experience for him, to have the courage to face a stronger n experienced opponent..
no worries.. im sure he'll get him sumday..:)

To have a fair fight (same size, same weight)? Might as well we do fight between identical twins...
Fight experience? We only count Muay Thai; some of the boxers are in other discipline before like kickboxing, ultimate warrior, mma.
I agree with anon above, use the right techniques. And you must have the will to win.
I actually see a few determine fighters in Kota Bharu... and Kudin top it all. I'm putting his fight tube soon.
I rate Abbas vs Kudin as the best fight in the tournament.
Just stay tune.
As for Alif... We wish him better luck next time ... and work on your defend ok - you got the speed.!
Lagu apa pun boleh...

this Barbod guy is really BIG i tell you. Kudos to Alif for having the courage to face him.
Barbod vs Chowalit or Berneung gonna be a good one!
Also would like to see Karim Afghan (Barbod Gym mate) to fight a more aggressive fighter. Bedu maybe?
Oji, hang tak tidoq lagi ke? Malam ni macamana? Aku and Nad dah on..the rest tak tahu lagi!
tgk dlm vid pn leh nmpk yug Barbod nie SGT BESA..
mr.boxxtomoi did point out dat both opponent must agreed to fight before they are allowed to..
it clearly shows dat alif is "willing with full consent" to hv a fight with dis EXTREMELY-HUGE guy..not by giving "jatuh moto" punye excuse..
courage comes first, n u'll never know wat will happened in the sacred ring until the fight begins rite? :)
salute alif for that!!

Hello everyone...
Do u agree guys ?
Thanks
This IS not my fav. fight.I only watch it during my editing, as only one of them fighting the muay thai way.
What I can say is:
Alif let Barbode corner him.
Size? Even Titanic sink!

exactly my reaction.
abe Tomoi,
betol tu, kita nak tengok perlawanan tomoi yang penuh seni, bukan nak tengok orang fight macam samseng.
Saya harap kita kurangkan ambil orang fight yang kurang seni dan lawan tomoi ala tinju, tak best!
